چکیده
Underground mines are a vital part of the European raw material industry. The subsurface mining process is related to large-scale development underground structures like tunnels, chambers, workings, etc. These abandoned or liquidated during exploitation after termination works. Still, due unique environment, post-mining facilities may be adopted for different purposes. There few examples implementations this capacity in practical terms such as laboratories (ULs), energy storages, landfills dangerous wastes, food production plants. Unfortunately, environment offered by space also occurrence exceptional hazards, seismicity and ground control problems, gases, floods, lack natural ventilation, high temperatures. This results low interest investing facilities. Within paper, some ways repurpose have been presented, possible challenges that need faced described. An extensive database threats repurposing mitigate them has prepared based on surveys interviews conducted with representatives currently existing Uls companies literature review. Finally, manuscript provides general look at infrastructure Europe’s current situation future.

An Uncertainty-based Transition from Open Pit to Underground Mining
There are some large scale orebodies that extend from surface to the extreme depths of the ground. Such orebodies should be extracted by a combination of surface and underground mining methods. Economically, it is highly important to know the limit of upper and lower mining activities. This concern leads the mine designers to the transition problem, which is one of the most complicated problems...
متن کاملSurface Geophysical Methods for Detection of Underground Mine Workings
Efforts to delineate underground mine workings in the vicinity of tailings impoundments has relied on available maps and confirmatory boreholes. Often the characterization of regions between boreholes remains suspect or entirely unknown. Surface geophysical measurements can be used to supplement the borehole data and better delineate these intermediate zones. Furthermore, geophysics can be used...
متن کاملAutonomous Control of an Underground Mining Vehicle
This paper examines the kinematics and control of a Load Haul Dump Vehicle used in underground mining operations. The aim of the work is to develop an autonomous guidance strategy. A linear, state-space, mathematical model of the vehicle is derived purely from geometric consideration of the vehicle and its desired path. Autonomous regulation of the vehicle is shown to be theoretically feasible ...
متن کاملSimulation of integrated underground mining-processing
The paper examines the design issues associated with the integration of mineral processing within underground mining systems. It demonstrates conceptual integrated system design options appropriate to a range of geological scenarios. Particular reference is then given to a case study of stoping in narrow base metal veins. The performance of such integrated systems in terms of productivity, econ...
